Few hours ago IBM has released the firmware which enables the SR-IOV functionality on E870/E880 servers.
I wrote about this 3 weeks ago, the SR-IOV for P8 is finally available. Basically, you would need the latest server firmware 820_067 and a fix pack for the HMC (PTF MH01455 HMC V8 R8.2.0 Service Pack 1). And of course any compatible adapter (#EN0L, #EN0J).

OT – This server firmware enables one great feature, adjusting the CPU frequency from the HMC. But this function I will describe in more details soon.
